The Coahoma High School band continued its successful 2025 marching season by bringing home multiple awards from the Tumbleweed Marching Classic held in Denver City last Saturday.
The band’s 2025 show, entitled “Sparkle,” earned high marks in the competition and secured two major awards within the 1A-3A classifications:
• Outstanding Colorguard and Outstanding Woodwinds.
Following its preliminary success, the CHS Big Red Band was also selected to perform in the exhibition portion of the contest.
Next up: The community will have another chance to see the award-winning performance this weekend. The Big Red Band is scheduled to perform its full contest show at the Concho Classic Marching Festival in San Angelo, Texas on Saturday, Oct. 11.
The performance will take place at the San Angelo ISD Stadium, located at 1919 Knickerbocker Road. Coahoma’s performance time is scheduled for 4:45 p.m.
