Nine Bulldogette players were tapped for All-District 5-3A honors.
Making the first team list were Madison Rodgers, Isabella Cox, Zoie Joslin and Shae Lang.
Rodgers, the team captain, helped lead the Bulldogettes to one of their best seasons in years with a 5-3 record in league play and 19-11 overall. A look at her season stats shows the Coahoma High School senior was a major asset to the Bulldogettes both on offense and defense. She laid down 88 kills for the year, led the team in digs with 191, and had five blocks.
Joslin, Lang, and Cox were equally impressive on the court. Joslin, a junior, has been the go-to setter for the team since her freshman year and recorded 245 assists this season. Cox, a sophomore, had 116 kills during her second year on varsity. She also had 105 digs and 14 blocks for the season. Lang recorded 72 kills, 72 digs, and 32 blocks.
Making the second team were junior Christian Everett, and sophomores Cayhill Lewis and Brynn Rodgers. Lewis led Coahoma in kills and blocks with 121 and 61 respectively. Everett had 149 digs and 26 kills and B. Rodgers had 141 digs and 13 kills.
Rounding out the honors for Coahoma were Karleigh Burt and Baylor Wright. Burt, a sophomore, recorded 98 digs for the year. Wright, a freshman, was promoted from the sub-varsity team a few games before district play began. She had 16 kills as a varsity player this season.
Overall, the Bulldogettes finished third in league play.
