GRAPE CREEK, Texas —Coahoma opened District 6-3A action with a 69-47 win over Grape Creek on Tuesday. 

The Bulldogettes jumped out to an early 21-7 lead by the end of the first quarter and continued to dominate for the next two periods of play. 

Sophomore Madisyn Renteria and junior Baylor Wright led the Bulldogettes with 19 points. Renteria sank five of the six Coahoma treys for the night. Bree Lewis and Isabella Cox added 11 and nine points respectively. 

In sub-varsity action, the JV Bulldogettes beat the Lady Eagles, 36-12. Emery Deporto had a team high of 18 points, Jovi Rye tallied nine more, and Destiny Nava sank a long trey in the fourth quarter. 

Next: Coahoma (1-0, 10-5) will host the Clyde Lady Bulldogs at 6:15 p.m. at the Coahoma Elementary School competition gym on Friday. The JV Bulldogettes will play at 5 p.m.
