CHS Cross Country

BIG SPRING, Texas — The Coahoma High School cross country team was back in competition mode on Saturday at the Eric Stinson Invitational held in the Comanche Trail Park.

Coahoma’s Eddie Starr finished the route in 19 minutes, 53 seconds, which was 46 seconds faster than his last competition run. Tristan Gonzales also showed improvement from his last race. He crossed the finish line at the 20:54 mark cutting his race time down by nearly three minutes.

For the Bulldogettes, Abigail Bose continues to lead the girls. She finished 20th out of a large field of runners. The CHS junior ran the race in 15 minutes, 47 seconds. Madison Bose crossed the finish line with a time of 16 minutes, 50 seconds. Rounding out the Bulldogette roster were Emma Rodriguez with a time of 17 minutes, 55 seconds, and Andrea Arrendondo, who finished in 18 minutes, 4 seconds. 

Next: The CHS cross country team will take a small break before heading back to competition on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at the Merkel High School Cross Country Invitational.
