Coahoma varsity volleyball team

DIMMITT - The Bulldogettes powered through three sets to earn a victory against the Dimmitt Lady Bobcats Saturday.

The Coahoma varsity volleyball team won the game 25-6, 25-15, 25-17.

Sophomore Ashley Romero, who is quickly becoming a strong assist for the Bulldogettes squad, led with 8 kills for the game. Senior Paige Atkins and Sophomore MaKynlee Overton had 5 kills each while Senior Julia Mashburn powered out 4. Also, Senior Jaydan Mann had 7 assists during the match.

Earlier in the day, the two Coahoma JV teams - White and Red - lost their matches 23-25, 22-25 and 25-8, 18-25, 24-26 respectively.

Up next: The Bulldogettes will be on the road for their third away game in row when they travel to Kermit to play the Lady Jackets Tuesday. Both JV teams will play at 5 p.m. with varsity to follow at 6 p.m.
