Membership to the national organization is open to students who have demonstrated they excel in character, service, leadership, and scholarship.

Inducted into the Coahoma NHS Honos Hapet Onus Chapter were seniors Tanner Atkins, and Ashleigh Mull, juniors Emajin Braxton, Kobe Cervantes, Vada Cortez, Katelyn Johnson, Brysen Kerby, and Billy Starr.

Also inducted on Monday were sophomores Makayla Chavez, Serena Dobbs, Christian Everett, Marianna Glover, Jessica Hamby, Katy Harris, Zoie Joslin, Kenan Kimberly, Gabriella Olivas, Zackery Ramon, and Jocelyn Young.

President Grayson Glidewell led the brief ceremony. He was assisted by fellow officers Julia Cox, vice president; Aubrey Green, secretary; and Seth Brooks, treasurer. Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the high school library to welcome the new members.

CHS will host an induction ceremony for the new members of 2019-2020 who were not able to have a ceremony in person because of Covid-19 protocols. NHS members of the Class of 2020 will be returning to participate in the event, which will be held at 6 p.m., May 17, in the high school library.
