Basketball girls team saluting the U.S. Flag

ANSON — The Bulldogettes fell to the Anson Lady Tigers, 19-67, Friday night in district 5 3-A basketball play.

A series of fouls hamstrung the Bulldogette offensive drive in the first half giving the Lady Tigers 21 chances to take advantage of free points. The Anson girls went 14-21 at the charity strip which totaled a little less than half of their points earned for the first two quarters.

Returning from the locker room, the Lady Tigers continued their offensive assault racking up 35 points and keeping Coahoma to just five over the third and fourth quarter.

Paige Atkins, a senior, led the Bulldogettes with six points and freshman Madison Rogers added four more.
